Presently, the ITCZ appears to be quite active, but it's running quite low in the western side of the cAtl near the equator. Climatologically, I believe it's running lower than average, especially on the wAtl side. This may allow for a longer period of SAL intrusion into the Atlantic as well, but that remains to be seen. As it moves further north, activity will eventually pick up and create opportunities for tropical waves to organize and produce spinning storms, but that is more likely to occur a little further into the season. A more northerly Itcz makes it easier for developing storms to coriolis. And, more Itcz moisture further north also weakens SAL and dry/stable air, making development conditions more favorable.

The Doldrums
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), known by sailors as The Doldrums, is the area encircling the earth near the equator where winds originating in the northern and southern hemispheres come together.
The Itcz is beginning its climatilogical climb further north, despite it's day to day flucuations n and s.

Blame Game

You've probably dealt with her before, but without realizing it. La Niña is best known as the little sister of the famous weather phenomenon El Niño.
You remember El Niño, right? Or least all of the hype a few years ago: excessive droughts and floods? Blame it on El Niño! Plane crashes and shipwrecks? It was El Niño!
It has been many many years ago since we were introduced to the weather patterns El Nino and La Nina (mainly meaning Little Boy and the Girl).
You would hope that after all these years, the boy and girl would have grown up.
But nope.
But nope.
Still the little boy and the girl continue to cause major weather havoc around the world.
Sometimes I wonder if it is really them or we have just got used to blaming them for everything, so it is a convenient blame. El Nino and La Nina have been blamed so many times over the years that I've become immune to the news about them.
Just like we blame the weaker for a lot of things, I guess this blame game will continue.
Considering the weather patterns are opposite of each other, don't they just cancel each other out? I guess that way, the weather remains the same. One place gets hotter, another gets cooler ... but the balance remains.

Let's Make A Change!
- This portrait looks funny. But the topic it shows isn't.
Climate change, global warming and the greenhouse effect are all names used more or less interchangeably for the same thing, often incorrectly.
Climate change is a significant and lasting change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns over periods ranging from decades to millions of years. It may be a change in average weather conditions or the distribution of events around that average.
I don't believe it is necessary to say much more than that the average climate change is causing several effects, some of them potentially severe. It does not really matter whether the change is caused by human activities, it is happening. The obvious ones have been mentioned in the press that we are all sick and tired of hearing them: ice cap meltings, atolls and low-lying land disappearing, increased desertification, biota changes, increasing violent weather phenomena etc.
The only statement that can result from this is:
if the changes are due partially to human activity, as seems most probable, then we should do everything in our power to reduce their effect as quickly as possible; if they are not due to this, then it will do no harm if we try to reduce their effect. In other words, we should do our best to restore the average climate to what it was over a century ago.

I'm A Defender of the Ozone Layer. :)
I guess this photo looks like Mother Earth - when it isn't stratospheric ozone layer of the air acts like a shield in the atmosphere that protects life on Earth from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation. A mere fact that stratospheric ozone layer was getting thinner.
But what is Montreal Protocol?
- I felt confusion at this point. But based on my research, The Montreal Protocol on Substances That Deplete the Ozone Layer (a protocol to the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer) is an international treaty designed to protect the ozone layer by phasing out the production of numerous substances believed to be responsible for ozone depletion.
Yes, I could barely understand what was this. Well, with care, the effects of ozone-depletion will not be too bad in the world. On the other hand, a mechanism for the disposal and safe destruction of ODSs does not reliably exist and should be implemented as soon as possible, with qualified and conscientious personnel for the maintenance.
Be one of those who care for Mother earth. Be a defender of the ozone layer. :)

Stress. Pressure. Anxiety. What else for this week?
We had our periodical tests in all of our subjects. In fact, I did not review the lessons. Haha. Wish me luck for my scores. :)
We also had our make-up tests, checking of notebooks, quiz and activities.
It seems like were ready for a hassle-free weekend!
And before anything else, we had that I-Don't-Know-What-To-Write (haha. yes, I don't really know what article I would write. I have no idea -.-) workshop for the upcoming competition for journalists. My brain was drained. haha. :\
But still, I had fun. :)
MAKE LIFE = FUN :D

Keep Holding On
"You're not alone, together we stand
I'll be by your side, you know I'll take your hand."
I'll be by your side, you know I'll take your hand."
I really miss my 4A Family! Ugh. I embraced all of them brought by my happiness! <3
But some tragic and bitter news for me. I made me cry that I can't breathe easily.
I have so much things, tests, lessons to take up! Huh. Such a tiring week. :\
By the way, we drive through the hospital for some check up again. And again, they took a syringe of blood out of my body! Ouch! Haha!
We waited for the results for 3 hours. Thankfully, it says I'm fine. :)
We went to PUP to get our test permit. Then, to SM Sta. Mesa for some fresh air. Haha. We ate and window shopped. :)
I dropped by to this OH-MY-GOD bookstore! Yes, oh my god! It was packed by almost all of the categories of book you'll sure love the most. FULLY BOOKED! :)
I'm not crazy; I'm just a little unwell! :(
Health is wealth.
Yes, I believed in this quote because I got morbid for almost a week. :/
My whole week was supposed to be a stressful one because of school works, but I got burden with my illness.
At the same time, I got bored. All I did was to sleep, eat, take my medicine, sit, sleep, eat and take my medicine. -.-
We went to the hospital for check-up. They got my blood for some test (the syringe really get into my nerves. ouch!) The result was this: my white blood cells was 15L! A large amount for a teenage girl. They even asked me if I'm pregnant. What the? o.O
The doctor's advice was for me to be confine. But, I refuse so he prescribed me a branded and oh so expensive medicine. -.-
Thank God I'm fineeeee. :)

Restless Week.
“Forgiveness is not something we do for other people. We do it for ourselves, to get well and move on.”
Oh well, I forgive you Typhoon Pedring for what you did. But I still die a little inside every time I think about it! Screw you! >:)
Manic Monday. We had a normal day - discussions, quizzes, and a sort of reporting.
Then *boom!* Tuesday – Wednesday (no classes!) Pedring couldn’t handle his bitterness anymore, so he cried for almost 48 hours – NONSTOP! Haha!
Looking for an outcome? FLOOD! -___- No electricity. No water. What the heck was that all about? Grrr! :/ I was awake ‘till midnight just to ensure that the flood wouldn’t rise. Thank God it tumbles!
Thrilled Thursday. Happy Fiesta San Miguel! I attended the mass, bought some food for my cravings, stroll a little bit, and conversed with Ivy and Xyryn! What an awesome day. :)
It’s freaking Friday. We clean our messy room. As in, we couldn’t see the tiles because of the mud. 4A, teamwork and a petite courage ;) Success! It’s unadulterated. Haha. Job well done. :) We also had our practice in the music room and as usual, food trip with my lovely classmates! J

Teenagers. :)
This week was filled with weariness. We had our regular classes. Discussions, quizzes and some activities. Oh gosh! I can't take those school works anymore! :/
We had our reporting on Research about Related Literature and Studies. I made our power point presentation and Ma'am Sy liked it! :) Moreover, she said that our report was GOOD! Yahoo! :D
Then, this Saturday, we had our induction of officers of the Interact Club of SMNHS. Wew. My intermission with Bok Lyrra and Xyryn was quite good. :) Haha. "The Man Who Can't Be Moved" again!
- When life is sweet, say thank you and celebrate. When life is bitter, say thank you and grow.
TEENAGERS! :)

September Hater
I HATE SEPTEMBER – a lot! :/
Why? Nothing. I just remember something… NVRMND. :O
“We have to say goodbye to some people. No matter how hard. No matter how painful.”
- - Multivitamins For The Soul
Done reading this book. I really like its homilies and reflections!
What about this week? A little exhausted but oh so bursting with HAPPINESS! :) For this, I won’t bother if it’s September. XD.
We got our report card. Top 15? Hmmm. It’s enough! Haha! Guess what? I talked to his mom. J
A lot of preparation for the EDDIS Math Competition here at SMNHS. (Congratulations Hap Tit Imee! :) and Science Month Celebration!
Job Well Done YELS! :D We really did a great job. I love it! Especially the intermission number I had with Joshua – “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved.”
A happy ME. A peaceful ME. :)
September Fever
“Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, then it’s not yet the end.”
- Patrick Star
Yes I know it’s not yet the END.
How about spending my life without my dear blog? It sucks! ><. I miss it. And how about winning in the 2011 Division Science Fair? It’s COOL. J IP days are gone. I’m starting to miss it!
Back to normal - as in back to regular classes.
Another bunch of school works for me! – THE MAYUMO. Our supercalifragilisticexpialidocious school paper. LOL. And a lot of lessons to take up..
I wish that this month would end with just a snap of my fingers. L

I'm A Monday Hater!
Monday. The day of the week which I dislike the most. There's a flag ceremony and for the first time, I'm LATE. :| I really hate it!
Though it's Monday, I had so much fun in school today. Despite the cloudy sky, the weather is still torrid! Super HOT! -.-
We had our first quiz on Physics and pre-tests on Research and Social Studies.
By the way, Dallas Mavericks won the championship against Miami Heat! What a good way to end the day! :)

We Just Want To Make The World SING! :D
What a day! Thank God it's Friday! :D The first week of school is over.. I was so jaded, but propitious! :)
The weather today is unpredictable. Rain drops. Clouds appear. Rain drops. Then, the sun shines. A sign of climate change? :|
4A really ROCKS! \m/
Though we have our own dilemmas, we make sure that each day would be filled of unforgettable moments. Our room was packed by giggles and laughter. I really love this day! I wish, this would be FOREVER.
After our class, I sang along with my classmates! We're really a huge fan of Secondhand Serenade & Paramore!

Your Raining Gaze
It's raining cats and dogs lately. Our class was suspended for the afternoon. Yahoo! :D
Our country has a monsoon climate, so I expect rainy days for this month. I admit, it's annoying because it's frigid. Plus, the dripping rain makes some noise!
We did a lot of stuffs today.
By the way, I got the position of the Secretary for the STEP officers. I really love my classmates! They trust my ability and cleverness for almost 7 years. :)
And I could say that this was one of the happiest day in my Senior year.. Even though your doing your best to avoid me, you can't deny that your staring at me. :P Bizarre. Priceless. Countless. STOP REFUSING! I saw you! :P
Now, I know that I have a bunch of reasons to stay HAPPY. :)
I'm so thankful that Ma'am Garcia-Sy let us made a blog. See? I'm having a great time with it! :D
- BLITHE. :)

FISH be with You
This day was quite fun. The sun didn't show it's brightness. The clouds continuously cry so it's not that hot. We have a bunch of school works to do.. LOADED!
I wonder why a bulk of fish died in Batangas. I think the reason for this is our environment, and of course, OURSELVES.. Since greedy people wants more income, they decided to surround the Taal Lake with fish cages. So, fish kill was the result of it. How I wish that detaching those cages are easy as ABC, but it isn't. I hope people would realize the worth of every living thing.
REMEMBER: Once we earn things to destroy our Mother Earth, it would find another way to devastate itself more.

It Feels Like Heaven
HEAVEN. A place where we find eternal happiness.
Like my second day being a Senior student, I had the feeling that I found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Meeting our new teachers, laughing at their jokes, and listening to their stories are delightful. And before I forgot, Ma'am Garcia-Sy is our teacher on Research. Although bliss almost burst in our room because of her, when she talked about our proposals, I found myself having a nervous breakdown. Hahaha! I don't have any desire making investigatory projects, but still, I will do my best to accomplish ours. :)
